Current Projects Gardening for the Environment With the financial support of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control's Pollution Prevention Program through the EPA, the ARA and Delaware Nature Society have begun this program to educate residents about how simple things you do in your backyard can help our waterways!  Interactive workshops provide information on outdoor practices such as composting as well as create the opportunity for every participant to make their own rain barrel using a trash can and simple parts from your local home and garden store.  Even if you don't attend one of the workshops, you can still learn how to make your own rain barrel by downloading our Rain Barrels brochure.  So check it out and start gardening for the environment!
